DW Lenski was opened in 2018 when Danielle and Paul decided they should start their own firm in order to best leverage their combined 30 years of professional experience to serve their clients needs. DW Lenski's goal is to help their clients "plan for happiness" in whatever they are doing. Whether it is starting business, working through a civil case, or planning the future of an estate, we want to help our clients achieve the best possible outcome.
We have a passion for local and small businesses and are a proud member of the Blount County Chamber of Commerce.
Danielle is described by her colleagues as motivated, dependable and upbeat. Danielle's career in client finances began quite by accident in 1998. She had just completed her bachelor's degree in History at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, where she learned a love of research, writing and analyzing information. She chose to work for one year before beginning law school and found herself hired by Mitchell, Vaught & Taylor, Inc. Investment Advisors to assist with client needs and compliance. She continued on through law school and passed her Series 65 exam to be a Registered Investment Advisor Representative in 2001.
Danielle is still Senior Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager for her own firm, Propel Financial Advisors, working with individual and institutional clients and their investment portfolios. Over the years, she found it difficult to separate tax issues from investment management and has made it a priority to encourage clients to think in terms of tax planning. She began DW Agosto Tax Planning, LLC with colleague Emily Agosto, CPA, in January 2016.
Danielle earned her J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2002, where she chose classes on tax, estate planning and securities law. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and in Tennessee, where she moved in 2006 to be with her husband, a native Tennessean. She is a member of the Blount County Bar Association.
Danielle is an avid reader and enjoys cooking, gardening and travel. She is blessed to have friends, family and clients scattered all over the U.S., which helps to feed her travel bug. She also volunteers time with Blount County's Foster Care Review Board, so that she can stay involved with kids in need. She lives outside Knoxville, Tennessee, with her husband and their two sons.
Paul's career has two primary foci - business and family. He has worked in operations and leadership development in both for- and non-profit organizations. In both fields he has helped his organizations improve their operations and increase client satisfaction and retention.
Paul's work with foster parents (within a national, non-profit organization) is where he developed his passion to help children and how family dynamics affect the youngest members the most.
After working in the non-profit sector Paul realized his next step needed to be law school. He did this to gain a better understanding of the impact of law on both families and businesses.
Immediately after law school, Paul worked at a domestic law firm. He worked with (and sometimes against) all manner of attorneys - small firm, "big law", aggressive, collaborative - and helped achieve his client's goals in all those situations.
Paul has since started DW Lenski, with his partner Danielle Woods, where he has gained the practical experience of starting and running a business. This firm has allowed him to focus directly on his two areas of expertise.
Paul holds a license to practice law in the State of Tennessee, and has achieved a Doctor of Jurisprudence; a Master of Science in Psychology, specializing in Organizational Psychology and Development; and a Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications.
Paul is an Affiliate Faculty in the School of Business & Public Leadership at Johnson University, a consultant with the Alliance for Better Nonprofits, a Director of Compassion Counseling. and a member of the Blount County Bar Association.
